JADE gave Batley’s beloved Redbrick Mill a serious glow-up — over 200 custom-made casement windows, sleek aluminium picture frames, and modern shopfronts, all installed with expert care and precision.
Once a steam-powered woollen mill from the 1860s, Redbrick Mill is now a go-to destination for premium furniture and interior design. With more than forty top-tier brands under one roof, the building still wears its industrial roots with pride — so keeping that historic charm intact was key.
The Project
Custom Windows That Honour the Past
Redbrick Mill needed windows that did more than just look good — they had to respect the building’s character while stepping up its performance. JADE delivered by designing and installing over 200 huge 3×3 metre casement windows with elegant arched frames. These were crafted to echo the mill’s original timber windows but finished in Anthracite Grey aluminium with Georgian bar detailing — a perfect mix of old-school style and modern performance.
Entrance to Impress
First impressions count — and at Redbrick Mill, the entrances do just that. JADE also manufactured and installed striking aluminium picture windows, designed to showcase premium branded furniture from the outside in. Alongside these were bold aluminium porch entrances and robust entrance doors, built to provide both an eye-catching welcome and enhanced security. Strong, sleek, and perfectly in keeping with the mill’s industrial elegance.
Keeping Things Smooth and Disruption-Free
Installing that many windows in a busy retail space? That takes planning. We teamed up closely with the building owners to roll out the work in phases, keeping disruption to a minimum while getting the job done efficiently and on time.
The Result? A Stunning Update with Lasting Impact
With the project wrapped up, Redbrick Mill looks better than ever. The new windows blend seamlessly with the building’s heritage, while boosting its energy efficiency, security, and long-term durability.
“The transformation of Redbrick Mill has been outstanding,” says Ryan Fozard, Managing Director at JADE. “The bespoke windows complement the building’s heritage while delivering the performance needed for today’s retail environment. We’re proud to be part of this iconic building’s next chapter.
